RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts as needed based on unit requirements
• Float to all St. Lukes Treasure Valley Sites (Meridian, Nampa, Boise) in NICU or as a sitter
• Care for Level II NICU patients (32 weeks and greater) in 8-bed private suite unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3
• Must have 3 years of NICU experience required
• Must be able to attend all deliveries including C-sections (scheduled, urgent, and emergent)
• Must have experience stabilizing newborns and performing 2-hour assessments
• Handle common diagnoses including respiratory distress, feeding and growth issues, hypoglycemia, and NAS scoring
• May care for NICU baby and mother, plus another baby
• Work with continuous monitoring and centralized monitoring system
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE
• No call requirements
• Hospital-issued scrubs required, must change at facility
• No fingernail lacquer policy - acrylic or gel nails not permitted
• 3 days of unit-specific orientation required
• EPIC Curio assignments must be completed before start
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This healthcare organization operates a Level II NICU with 8 private suite beds, providing specialized care for newborns 32 weeks and greater. The facility features a unique model with NICU embedded within LDRP rooms and maintains 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioner coverage. The organization uses EPIC charting system and provides comprehensive women's services across multiple locations in the Treasure Valley area.
