RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 33-bed medical-surgical floor with 16 telemetry monitors
• Maintain 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Flexible scheduling available including every other weekend or customized schedule
• Various shift options available: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• Block scheduling allowed for traveling nurses
• Shift start times at 7:00 AM or 11:00 AM
• Required certification: BLS
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Use MEDITECH electronic medical record system
• No specific scrub color requirements; scrubs not provided
• CCU staff and supervisors available on each shift to read monitor strips
• Care for diverse patient population including orthopedic patients (total knee and hip replacements), bariatric patients (gastric sleeves and gastrectomies), CHF, COPD, TIA patients, and cardiac catheterization patients requiring intervention
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts for duration of contract
• BSN not required
