Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: Yes
• Float requirement as needed within skillset and scope
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• California nursing license required
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 for PCU patients, 1:4 for Telemetry patients
• 31-bed unit providing progressive care services
• Common diagnoses include stroke, altered mental status, alcohol withdrawal, sepsis, pneumonia, post cardiac catheterization, post craniotomy, and post ICU patients
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Float support within areas of clinical scope and competency
• Weekly start dates available with immediate start preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 31-bed Progressive Care Unit providing intermediate-level care for patients who require more intensive monitoring than general medical-surgical units but less than intensive care. The facility utilizes Cerner electronic health records and maintains appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure quality care. The progressive care unit specializes in treating patients with complex medical conditions including neurological, cardiac, and critical care step-down patients.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
