Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Manager open to 4-10 hour shifts as well
• Weekend, holiday, and call coverage required
• On-call responsibilities with 30-minute response time required
• 13-week assignment with March 2nd start date
• 100-mile radius rule applies
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Current New York State RN license or eligibility required
• Successful completion and passing grade on final exam mandatory for Operating Room RN position
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
• Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
• Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient lifting techniques
• Function well in stressful situations with good problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate
• May assume charge nurse duties
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation for OR/ASU setting
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
