RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Weekend, holiday, and call requirements
• On-call responsibilities with 30-minute response time required
• Must adhere to 100-mile radius rule
• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing required
• Current New York State RN license or eligibility required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred
• Must complete and pass final exam as mandatory condition of employment
• Preceptorship, charge nurse, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
• Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to provide quality patient care
• Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient lifting techniques
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate
• May assume charge nurse duties as required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Knowledge of clinical equipment and instrumentation for OR/ASU settings
• Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills required
