RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Medical surgical stroke stepdown unit specializing in stroke patients
• Floating to other units required
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Care for adult patients with common diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues
• Work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Unit capacity of 64 beds
• Block scheduling available but never promised or guaranteed
• Minimum 2+ years medical surgical experience with stroke stepdown experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Required certifications: current AHA BLS and NIHSS (NIH certification required for this unit and can be obtained prior to start)
• Active New York nursing license required with Nursys report for license verification
