RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a varied schedule as assigned
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for medical-surgical patients
• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document all aspects of patient care legibly and timely in accordance with policy
• Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans as needed
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility personnel when appropriate
• Interact with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to medical-surgical nursing
• Required: California RN License, BLS certification, meal waiver, and adult abuse forms
• Preferred: ACLS certification, PALS certification would be beneficial but not required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
