RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Report directly to the Emergency Department Director or designated Lead
• Handle a wide spectrum of medical conditions, maladies, and injuries with ability to multi-task efficiently
• Assess and treat patients quickly, especially during onset of acute illness or trauma
• Assist emergency room charge nurse and acute care nurse as directed
• 1 year experience as an Emergency Department nurse required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Current California nursing licensure in good standing required
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, CPR, and NRP
• TNCC certification required within one year of hire date
• Conduct individualized patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patient condition
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members
• Perform treatments as ordered by physicians including EKGs, blood draws, IV starts
• Provide patient/family education and maintain detailed documentation
• Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to protocols
• Maintain work area cleanliness and ensure beds are properly restocked
• Adhere to dress code with neat and professional appearance
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and walking
• Willingness to work beyond normal hours when necessary
• Complete annual education requirements and maintain regulatory compliance
