Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions and patient care plans
• Provide patient care based on established standards, protocols, and procedures
• Deliver patient and family teaching based on identified learning needs
• Delegate and supervise nursing interventions performed by other staff members
• Prioritize patient care and seek assistance from appropriate resources as needed
• Provide thorough, timely, and accurate documentation of patient data and interventions
• Deliver comprehensive reports to healthcare team members for continuity of care
• Safely administer medications and intravenous therapy per physician orders
• Assess patient pain levels using numerical pain scale and reassess effectiveness
• Perform accurate identification and interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes
• Monitor and document thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapy protocols
• Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical ventilation modes, settings, and patient care
• Interpret arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and clinical features of gas exchange
• Set up hemodynamic monitoring equipment and assist with arterial and central line procedures
• Administer vasoactive medications with understanding of dosage and titration parameters
• Provide post-operative assessment and monitoring according to established protocols
• Complete medication reconciliation documentation for attending physicians
• Implement VAP bundle components consistently per protocol
• Participate in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for patient care coordination
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required
• ACLS certification upon hire or active BLS with ACLS within 60 days
• Graduate of accredited nursing school required
• MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
• 1 year med-surge experience preferred
• Previous telemetry and ICU experience preferred
• CCRN certification preferred

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
