RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work in stepdown unit with floating required to other units as needed
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 (not guaranteed)
• Care for surgical patients of all types, medical patients of all types, and neurological patients
• Manage vasoactive drip titration including neosynephrine, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Operate various equipment including bladder scanners, IV pumps, PCA pumps, SCDs, BiPAPs, CPAPs, optiflows, vapotherms, and airvos
• Required line management skills: IV insertion, PICC/Central line management, vascular device access/care, dialysis fistula care/management, and A-line management
• Required airway skills: CPAP/BiPAP management and trach care
• Required orthopedic/medical/oncology skills: epidural/PCA pump management, feeding tube care, and wound vac operation
• Preferred cardiac skills: obtain 12 lead EKG, sheath removal, and cardioversion/defibrillation
• Preferred line management skills: CVP monitoring
• Quick start position available
• Facility may downstaff travelers with 36-48 hours notice during 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
