Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech Cardiac Imaging

Job Details:

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures under physician direction requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Create technically diagnostic exams for interpretation by cardiologist or radiologist
• On-call requirements include 1 week of scheduled on-call approximately every 5th or 6th week
• Required to work one hospital holiday each year on rotating basis
• Ability to switch on-call and holiday shifts with other Echo Techs with supervisor approval
• Assist cardiologists during invasive ultrasound procedures
• Review order requisitions for pertinent information and special requests
• Complete documentation on patient exams and ensure appropriate exam charges
• Maintain medical supplies and stock items in all examination rooms
• Prepare and clean patient exam rooms and equipment
• Must maintain current NH State License and appropriate credentials
• Degree or certificate from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education accredited sonography program required
• Certification in cardiac ultrasound by ARDMS or CCI within 12 months of graduation required
• Basic Life Support certification required
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Position involves combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
