Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with telemetry patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3-12 hour shifts
• 6 weekend shifts required in 6-week period
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must float within scope to meet facility needs
• Required certifications: BCLS and NIH; ACLS and CPI preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must be proficient in telemetry/reading rhythms
• Experience with cardiac medications and drips (no titration)
• Navy blue scrub color required
• No artificial or nail enhancements permitted
• No crocs with holes allowed
• Must work weekends and holidays
• Care for adult cardiac patients including TAVR, post-cardiac surgery, and pre/post cardiac catheterization
• Skills required include blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• RTO restrictions: maximum 7 days per 13-week contract

The telemetry unit focuses on cardiac patients requiring continuous monitoring, with a 28-bed capacity and an average daily census of 14 patients. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and provides specialized cardiac services including post-surgical care and advanced cardiac procedures.
