Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12 schedule)
• Night shifts, weekdays, every other weekend required
• Float assignments required - must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may float to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients
• Holiday coverage required within contract
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• 3 years critical care experience preferred (will consider strong candidates with less experience)
• Travel experience preferred
• Strong neuro experience required (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke)
• Must have experience with ventilators, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS via American Heart Association, NIHSS
• Must be EPIC proficient
• VA or Compact license required in hand at time of submittal
• Must pass EKG testing with 80% or higher (one attempt only, no remediation)
• 3 hours of pre-start modules required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
• No license or background hits accepted
• Cannot accommodate PAPR - no fit test issues accepted
• Care for patient populations including neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, heart failure and post-cardiac cath patients

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
