Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:6 on all shifts
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block schedule requests require manager approval and depend on unit needs
• Guaranteed hours with facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Dress code: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
• Charting system: EPIC
• Skills required: Isolation precautions, med/surg care, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, starting and maintaining IVs, use of rapid response/code teams
• Provide care to patients with multiple GI diagnoses and complex nursing care requirements including bariatric and autologous islet cell programs
• Care for patients 17 years of age or greater
• Work with primary medical services including luminal service, hepatology service, and GI surgery service
• Hurricane season assignment may require emergency response team participation from June through November
