Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Floating required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred
• Extensive skills required including: cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post cardiac procedures, IV insulin protocols, central line care, blood product administration, chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, wound care
• No on-call requirements
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Must complete pre-start Epic training modules and infusion pump/glucometer training
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Daily census of 18 patients in 19-bed unit
• Primary diagnoses include medical cardiac step-down patients, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and multiple system diseases
