Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 3 twelve-hour shifts
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for all ICU shifts, 2:1 for all Tele shifts
• Must have minimum 2 years CVU experience with hemodynamics knowledge
• Required to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with cardiac assistive machines and EPIC charting preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Must be able to float within cardiac units as needed
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in 6-week period, every other weekend
• Care for cardio-thoracic surgery patients, open heart patients, TAVR procedures, post cath lab, and post cardiac surgery patients with telemetry
• Work with specialized equipment including arterial lines, IABP, pulmonary artery lines, ventilators, ventricular assist devices, and pacemakers
• Scrub color: Navy
• No on-call requirements
• Required to work holidays as necessary
• Travel experience required
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

This acute care hospital features 233 total staffed beds and operates a comprehensive cardiovascular intensive care unit with 6 beds serving an average daily census of 3 patients.
