Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Must be available for holiday coverage
• Patient ratio typically 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Float to other ICU units as needed
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Up to 2 pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Must have NY license in hand prior to submission
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• 2 years of experience required with travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for patients with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella, LVAD, RVAD
• Skills include arterial line management, chest tube assistance, ventilator management, blood product administration, central line care, IV sedation and paralytic management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, cardiac drip titration

This healthcare organization operates a 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit that provides comprehensive critical care services for patients with complex cardiac and multi-system conditions. The facility maintains advanced life support equipment and offers 24-hour specialty support services including interdisciplinary teams with IV specialists, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 7 patients and provides care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations requiring high-acuity cardiovascular interventions.
