Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must have New York license in hand to submit
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Floating to other units required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical diseases including hospice, pain control, diabetic, heart, stroke, and telemetry
• Handle COVID and flu patients with increased oxygen requirements up to 15 liters and high flow oxygenation
• Provide specialized care for trach patients on modified assignments
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Complete pre-start modules with up to 5 billable hours

This healthcare facility operates a 39-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 39 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes EPIC charting systems throughout their operations.
