Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts, 36 hours for three 12-hour shifts, or 48 hours for four 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required with must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 18 months of nursing experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Indiana, compact, or temporary license must be in hand prior to start date
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Unit does not accept travel pairs
• Scrub color requirement: red top, black bottoms
• Free parking provided
• Charting system: Cerner
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 27-bed unit
• Special requirements include telemetry, IV start, cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Level I, II, III, or IV experience required
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, peripheral line care, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, and post Watchman and ablation procedures
• Experience with ventilators, charge nurse responsibilities, and conscious sedation preferred
