Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week (3-12s schedule)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on nights, 1:5 on days, and 1:5-6 on weekends
• 2 weekend shifts required every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must be comfortable floating within telemetry service line to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Navy scrubs required
• EPIC charting system utilized
• 38 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with telemetry monitoring, stroke patients, and cardiac medication management
• Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care, and telemetry monitoring
• Unit has 29 rooms, 46 beds, with daily census of 27 patients
• Interdisciplinary support includes unit secretary
• Local candidates within 75-mile radius not accepted
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
