Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work as a Medical-Surgical Telemetry nurse caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratios: 1:6 during days, nights, and weekends
• Must complete either 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks OR 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Float to 3rd floor or 4th floor med/surg telemetry units as needed
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Daily census of 9 patients in a 9-bed unit
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation (pass/fail with one chance)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, CPI
• 2 years of experience preferred; will consider 1+ year on case-by-case basis
• Epic charting system experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to manage patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring via remote telemetry
• Care for patients with medical and surgical illnesses requiring acute care interventions
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis patients
• Shaving may be required to pass fit test onsite
• Strict attendance policy: more than two missed shifts per 13-week contract may result in contract cancellation
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission
• Locals within 75-mile radius not accepted
• Pending license accepted but must obtain before start date
