Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 3x12 or 4x12 schedules
• Mixed acuity unit serving medical surgical and progressive care patients with oncology and stroke specialties
• Patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 based on acuity
• Must have experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker procedures
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have solid neuro experience for unstable strokes and BiPap management
• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Weekend coverage required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Dress code: red scrub top with black bottoms
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Care areas include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients
• Skills include managing cardiac drips with titration, insulin protocols, post-cardiac procedures, and chemotherapy monitoring
• Must have Indiana state license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license prior to start
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
