Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• 4-5 weekend shifts required per 4-week period with holiday rotation
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and between like units/sister facilities
• 1 year of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIH certifications preferred
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on 23-bed General Neurology/Medical Stroke/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Manage patients with Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, seizures, and strokes
• Experience with CVA, isolation precautions, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and pre/post neurosurgery care
• Support Comprehensive Spine Center and Comprehensive Epilepsy Center programs
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Complete approximately 4 hours of non-billable modules pre-start

This healthcare organization operates a specialized 23-bed inpatient General Neurology/Medical Stroke/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit located on the ninth floor. All patient rooms are private with one reverse air flow room available. The unit features nine rooms hard-wired for continuous epilepsy monitoring, making it a unique program within the facility. The organization supports comprehensive spine and epilepsy center programs and maintains high accreditation standards for neurological care.
