Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Handle patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 for Medical Surgical Telemetry patients
• Work on a 26-bed unit specializing in post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post-MI patients
• Provide care for patients requiring cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Must have minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• New York State license required in hand - no exceptions
• Must be proficient in EPIC charting system - hard requirement
• BLS certification required
• Floating between units required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility location
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• Skills required: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula and oxygen administration, portable oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours, total may reach 10 hours)
• Must be able to perform IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response capabilities required
