Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work night shifts with telemetry experience required
• Float between Progress West and St. Peters facilities as needed
• Patient ratio 1:4-6 with average daily census of 16
• Every third weekend required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: NIH, ACLS, BCLS
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Care for adults and geriatrics including total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical covid, and oral surgery patients
• Scrub color: light gray/silver
• 24 hours of orientation required
• Float required to MS and ICU (assigned non-ICU level/lower acute patients aligned with skill level)
• Post thrombectomy care after 24 hours, post cath, and stroke care
• Skills include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, cardiac drips management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and wound care

This short-term acute care facility features 110 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility specializes in treating patients with CHF, CVA, and COPD diagnoses, offering advanced cardiac and neurological care with modern equipment and technology to support complex patient needs.
