Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with patient ratios of 1:5 (may flex to 1:6 on rare occasions)
• 2 years of nursing experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments required as needed
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Floating required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Must have Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience and travel experience
• Navy scrub color required
• Epic charting system used
• Free parking provided
• 3 guaranteed shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Local radius of 75 miles - locals not accepted
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with medical diagnoses related to pulmonary, wounds, urology, general cardiac, general neuro, and general renal conditions
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, and wound care
• 24-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and rapid response teams
