Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work with patient ratios of 1:4 (may flex to 1:6 on rare occasions)
• 2 years of experience required with strong ventilator experience
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Navy scrubs required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Care for patients with pulmonary stepdown, intermediate care, ventilated trach patients, COPD, and high acuity respiratory patients
• Work with specialized equipment including endobronchial valves and ventilators
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, ventilator care, central line management, chest tube care, tracheostomy management, and various IV therapies
• Must be comfortable with isolation precautions and emergency response procedures
• Complete pre-start EMR modules and Epic training prior to orientation
• Infusion pump and glucometer training must be completed before start date
