Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in the Cardiovascular ICU
• 36 hours per week for 3-12 hour shifts
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for all ICU shifts, 2:1 for all Tele shifts
• Must have minimum 2 years CVU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with hemodynamics and ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Preferred experience with cardiac assistive machines and EPIC charting system
• Care for cardio-thoracic surgery patients, open heart patients, TAVR, post cath lab, and post cardiac surgery patients with telemetry
• Float within service line to cardiac units as needed
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in 6-week period, every other weekend
• Must work holidays as necessary
• 7-day RTO restriction maximum per 13-week contract
• Navy scrubs required
• Skills include: post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath interventions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IABP, pulmonary artery line monitoring, VAD management, arterial line management, ventilator management, pacemaker management, and Prismaflex-CRRT
• No local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius
• Pending license accepted

This acute care hospital features 233 total staffed beds and operates a 6-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit with a daily census of 3 patients. The facility specializes in comprehensive cardiac care including cardio-thoracic surgery, interventional procedures, and advanced cardiac support services. The hospital utilizes EPIC charting system and provides interdisciplinary support with unit secretaries. The facility maintains high standards for cardiac care with specialized equipment and procedures including central lines and advanced cardiac monitoring capabilities.
