Description
Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• 1:5 patient ratio
• 2 years of nursing experience required with previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must float to all MSI units including ED to care for inpatient holds
• Both Kansas and Missouri licenses required (or compact) at time of submission
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• 31-bed unit caring for adults and geriatric patients
• Work settings include MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
• Skills required include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, cardiac drips, PCA management, wound care, chest tube management, tracheostomy care
• Experience with post-cardiac procedures, hemodialysis management, feeding tube care, and isolation precautions required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 75-mile radius not accepted

The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes Epic charting systems to support clinical documentation and care coordination.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
