Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract duration
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 caring for adults and geriatrics
• Required to float within skillset to ICU and/or medical surgical units
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have active New York Single State RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white
• 16 hours of orientation provided
• Provide telemetry and stepdown-level care for PCU/DOU/IMC patients
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response capabilities
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Manage cardiac drips without titration
• Administer blood products
• Central and peripheral line care and management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy
• Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions
• Care for long term pulmonary patients, ENT surgery patients, and surgical procedures requiring step down level of care
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Pre-start modules required, up to 10 hours total
