Description
Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with weekend coverage required
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Self-scheduling system
• Float required as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby
• Patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 (acuity based)
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker procedures
• Minimum 1 year of experience required (18 months preferred)
• Must have solid neuro experience
• Will accept MS/Tele or PCU RNs
• Care for medical surgical and progressive care patients including oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary conditions
• Manage unstable strokes and BiPap patients
• Work with cardiac drips including titration, insulin protocols, and vasoactive drips
• Dress code: red top, black bottoms
• Chart using Cerner system
• Free parking available
• Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license required prior to start
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Must have university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
Facility:
This short-term acute care hospital features 194 staffed beds and operates a dynamic mixed acuity unit that provides both medical surgical and progressive levels of care. The facility specializes in oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care with a daily census of 29-31 patients across 31 rooms. The hospital offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialized services to ensure comprehensive patient care.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
