Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour night shifts
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Must maintain 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• New York license must be in hand - no exceptions
• Must live more than 75 mile radius from facility
• Required certifications: Chemo Certification, ACLS, BLS
• Must be proficient in EPIC charting system
• 20 hours of orientation provided
• Float to Med Surg units as required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Daily census of approximately 35 patients
• Specializes in care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Work on hematology/oncology unit with developing bone marrow transplant program
• Patient population includes those receiving chemotherapy, recovering counts, and medical patients with underlying cancer diagnoses
• Opportunity to cross train in MICU for BMT patient care
• Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed
• Up to 5 billable hours for required modules

This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services including specialized cardiac and oncology care. The facility features a 26-bed cardiac unit and a 36-bed hematology/oncology unit with an expanding bone marrow transplant program. The hospital maintains a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
