Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for 13-week contract
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5 caring for adults and geriatrics with all emergency type diagnoses
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have active New York Single State RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Floating within skillset required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white
• Work with specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Clinical skills required: IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, emergency care for adults and pediatrics, stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, isolation precautions, and triage
• First-time travelers accepted
• RNs within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Up to 5 hours of billable modules must be completed pre-start

The facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center. The emergency department includes a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients. The hospital is affiliated with prestigious healthcare organizations and offers comprehensive specialized services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and multiple other support services.
