Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must have New York license in hand to submit
• Must be over 75 mile radius from facility (locals not accepted)
• First time travelers accepted
• EPIC charting experience is required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio typically 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Float to other units as needed
• Care for 16-bed unit treating patients with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock
• Operate specialized equipment including CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation, suctioning, and isolation precautions
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Complete pre-start modules (up to 5 billable hours)
