Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Weekend coverage included in call requirements
• Call schedule: 5 weekdays and 1 weekend every 6 weeks
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - unit does not accept first time travelers
• Travel experience required
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed
• Holiday work required: If one major holiday falls during assignment, work it; if two major holidays fall during assignment, work both; if three major holidays fall during assignment, work two of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day
• Full compliance required to start on time
• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R or CCI RCIS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must be proficient in electrophysiology lab, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• Skills include cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablader atherectomy, scrub procedures, equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator duties, sterile technique maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, rapid response/code team utilization
• Must be available to submit core items and complete/schedule labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by specialty
