Description
Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during all shifts
• Minimum 2 years experience required in fast-paced ER environment
• Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
• Strong pediatric population experience highly preferred
• Epic experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC, BLS
• Floating expectations include helping hands/team nursing approach to ICU and ED
• Patient sitting responsibilities as needed
• No call requirements
• Scrubs: Any color acceptable
• 36-hour orientation period with 1 week class/clinical time
• Handle all chief complaints ranging from minor cuts to complex trauma cases
• Perform conscious sedation, trauma alerts, stroke alerts, and SANE consultations
• Work with specialized equipment including Point of Care US, EPOC, Belmont, and Teleneurology
• Use Omnicell, Epic, SBAR, and Voalte systems

This healthcare facility operates a high-volume emergency department with 36 rooms and 50 beds, serving approximately 70 patients daily with 160 visits per day. The facility features a Level II trauma center with a strong pediatric presence and provides comprehensive emergency services across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. The emergency department is equipped with advanced technology and offers specialized services including trauma activation, stroke alerts, and cath lab activation with extensive interdisciplinary support services.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
