Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 2 years of recent specialty experience required with full year of in-specialty experience within past 12 months
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for both days and nights
• Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license at time of submission
• 3 shifts guaranteed per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code teams, feeding tube care, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), peripheral and PICC line management, IV starts and maintenance, epidural analgesia, PCA, surgical drains, chest tubes, isolation precautions, wound care and wound vac
• Epic charting system experience required
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with daily census of 20
• Primary patients include bariatric surgery, urology cases, hepatobiliary procedures, colorectal surgeries, and trauma patients
• Manage complex pain control via epidural, PCA, ketamine drips, and lidocaine infusions
• Handle multiple drain types and wound vac changes
• Complete pre-start Epic training modules and infusion pump/glucometer training
• 2 references required from past year (one supervisor level or above)
