Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratios of 1:6-7 (normal 1:6, may flex to 1:7 if unplanned absence cannot be covered)
• Every other weekend required
• PRN on-call for low census situations
• Float within scope to med surg units as needed
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, Rapid Response
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with typical medical surgical diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
• All patients eligible for telemetry monitoring done by monitor techs in central location
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Non-billable modules averaging 4 hours completed pre-start
