Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Required to float to other units as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patients with ortho/neuro/trauma post-op diagnoses
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• Unit has 34 beds with daily census of 34 patients
• Must have 1 year of experience and accepts first-time travelers
• Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, wound care, IV management, blood product administration, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, and isolation precautions
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census decrease
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Fit testing required with facial hair trimmed to meet CDC guidelines

The facility maintains interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various other specialty services. The organization is committed to nursing education and requires contract staff to actively participate in clinical education for nursing students alongside providing direct patient care.
