Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts in Nephrology Telemetry unit
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week working three 12-hour shifts
• Work every other weekend (2 shifts - Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation)
• 1-2 years of experience preferred, first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale
• May float within scope to similar units to meet facility needs
• No on-call requirements
• Provide specialized care for peritoneal dialysis patients
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including COVID, unstable cardiac conditions (heart failure, atrial fibrillation, MI), and renal failure
• Must demonstrate competency in cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Wear navy scrubs and chart in EPIC system
• Complete 40 hours of orientation and required pre-start modules
• Must reside outside 75-mile radius from facility

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 233 staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility utilizes modern EPIC charting systems and offers extensive support services including specialized nephrology telemetry care. The hospital maintains a daily census of approximately 25 patients in the telemetry unit and provides 27 beds across 27 rooms with specialized equipment including lift equipment for patient care.
