Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work day/night rotation shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 8-week contract length with block scheduling
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for adults and geriatrics
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Floating required within skillset
• Dress code: Any combination of navy blue and white scrubs
• EPIC charting experience required
• Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not compact)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Must have 1+ years of emergency department experience
• RN's within 75 miles of facility are not accepted
• Clinical skills required: IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, emergency care for adults and pediatrics, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma, isolation precautions, and triage
• Work with special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• Care for all emergency type diagnoses across adult and geriatric populations

The facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, offering advanced diagnostic technology, a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients. The hospital is affiliated with major healthcare networks and provides comprehensive specialized services with 24/7 emergency care capabilities.
