Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for an 8-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:5 with adults and geriatrics
• Every other weekend requirement and every other holiday availability required
• Must have active New York Single State RN license (NY is not compact state)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Floating within skillset will be required
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy blue and white
• Provide emergency care for adults and pediatrics including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
• Skills include IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy
• Manage CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator patients
• Handle CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI cases
• Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Conduct triage and maintain isolation precautions
• Work with special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment
• RNs within 75 miles of facility are not accepted

The emergency department features a state-of-the-art, 24/7 facility with a centralized layout for rapid patient care, advanced diagnostic technology, a dedicated pediatric ED, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
