Perfusionist - Perfusionist

Job Details:

• Work 5 x 8 hour variable shifts between 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required - accepts first time travelers
• Georgia license required (hard stop requirement)
• BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Skills include: General OR, Fire Safety, Aortic Valve Replacement, Ascending Aorta Cannulation, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral Cannulation, Mitral valve replacement, Adequacy of Perfusion, Blood Conservation Techniques, Extracorporeal Circuit Components for Cardiopulmonary Bypass, Patient Monitoring, Point of Care Testing, Cardioplegia, Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest, Initiation of CPB, Set-up/Priming of Equipment, Temperature Management, Weaning/Resumption of Natural Circulation, Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Isolation Precautions/PPE, Aorto-bicaval cannulation
• Holiday work requirements: work one holiday if one falls during assignment, work both if two fall during assignment, work two out of three if three fall during assignment
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Orientation hours vary by contract length
• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit
