Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour variable day shifts with start times at 0700, 1100, or 1300
• 36 hours weekly with potential for 48 hours if census permits
• Rotating weekends required, no on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24-hour orientation period
• Provide direct patient care using nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff
• Work with interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Care for patients of all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Work in 9-bed emergency department with daily census of 50
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, NRP
• California RN licensure required
• 2 years of ER experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• 7-year work history verification required
• Complete non-billable modules during orientation averaging 1-5 hours

The hospital maintains Level I and Level II trauma capabilities and is certified as both a STEMI and stroke facility. The emergency department handles a diverse range of cases including trauma, cardiac emergencies, pediatric emergencies, and general emergency conditions with robust interdisciplinary support services.
