Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Work in cardiac medicine ICU with rotating schedule
• 36 or 48 hours per week available for 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• Maximum 40 hours approved for time off during contract
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• BSN preferred
• Strong familiarity required with Swan-Ganz, vasoactive drips, arterial lines
• Experience with advanced heart failure and post-procedure care for STEMIs and TAVRs
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions
• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, IVTM, balloon pumps
• Handle complex cardiac procedures and monitoring
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Up to 16 hours of non-billable modules during orientation
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Can submit with Virginia license pending but must have license in hand by Wednesday before start date
• References required for submission
• Nursys verification required for submittal

This major academic medical center operates a specialized cardiac care unit that provides advanced cardiovascular intensive care services. The facility features state-of-the-art cardiac equipment and is one of only two areas approved for IV prostacyclin infusions, requiring specialty training. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, maintaining a 10-bed cardiac care unit with an average daily census of 8 patients.
