Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg unit
• 26-bed unit specializing in care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDS, post MI, and cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Must have NY license in hand - no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• BLS certification required
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• 12-hour orientation provided
• Float to Med Surg units as needed
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team participation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, respiratory care, and isolation precautions
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical, orthopedic overflow, and long-term conditions
• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains a 39-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 38 patients. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support services including specialized teams for IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
