Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 4x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights, 1:5 on weekends
• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• BLS certification required
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• Float to Med Surg units as needed
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Specialize in post PCI, pacemaker, AICD, and post MI patient care
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Manage respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and non-invasive airway management
• Handle complex care for medicine, ortho overflow, and long-term patients
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of navy and white
• Pre-start modules required with up to 5 billable hours

This tertiary care hospital features 528 total staffed beds and operates a 26-bed medical surgical telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care. The facility provides comprehensive cardiac interventions and monitoring services with a daily census of 38 patients across 39 beds. The hospital offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
