Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work night shifts on a 12-bed neuroscience stepdown unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles
• 13-week assignment with every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients transferring from Neuro ICU including neuro trauma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intraventricular or intracerebral hemorrhage patients
• Manage ENT cancer patients post tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients, and various neurological conditions
• 24 hours of orientation provided with up to 16 hours of non-billable modules
• Up to 40 hours of approved time off per contract
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Virginia license accepted if pending but must be in-hand Wednesday before start date
• Nursys verification required for submission
• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients with average daily census of 10
• Manage complex neurological equipment and procedures including arterial lines, lumbar drains, PCA pumps, and feeding tubes

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
