Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, BLS, NIHSS (all AHA certified)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be flexible with floating to different units within scope of practice and different campuses
• May float to Summit or Herrick Campus with 1.5 hours advance notice
• Shuttle transportation provided for floating assignments
• Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge
• Plan and coordinate delivery of care to maximize efficient care delivery
• Serve as liaison between nursing and medical staff for collaborative patient care
• Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of nursing process
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments within 24 hours of admission
• Administer treatments, medications, and perform nursing skills in timely manner
• Develop individualized patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
• Complete non-billable orientation modules (1-5 hours average) recorded through e-learning
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required
