Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts on Neuro Ortho unit Med Surg/Telemetry
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week working three 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for night shift)
• Required certifications: BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• 2+ years of experience preferred, first-time travelers accepted
• Must be able to float to any unit except ICU, SDU, and ED
• 38 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult patients with orthopedic, neurology, med/surg, and stroke diagnoses
• Skills required: telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), PICC line management, IV starts and maintenance, PCA, CVA care, total joint replacement care, isolation precautions/PPE
• Navy scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• No RTO allowed during first week of assignment
• Daily census of approximately 21 patients
• No on-call responsibilities
